Improve Your Sales Productivity with Salesforce Lightning

Are you struggling to make selling easier and faster? If yes, then you must switch to Salesforce Lightning Experience. Manually keeping a track of customer information and interactions on a day-to-day basis is next to impossible. There are high chances of missing out an important lead in this situation. To help sales reps overcome this situation, SF Lightning experience came into the picture. Lightning experience service offers advanced features which help the sales reps to close more and more deals with ease. The seamless UI makes it very easy for the users to gain insights into the customer data which prompts them to make right decisions at the right time

When we talk about making right decisions, it simply means taking proper actions at the right time. Very often, we fail in deciding the next set of actions that we need to take in order to crack a deal. Well, as the saying goes, ‘Time and Tide wait for none’ which means you would lose an opportunity if you don’t come up with the proper steps of action at the right time to close the deal. To assist sales representatives and to guide them by suggesting the activities to be performed to crack a business deal faster, the “Assistant” feature has been introduced.

Well, this is just a glimpse of Lightning experience. To get a better understanding, let us take a closer look at some of the key features of it

Key Features of Lightning Experience

The beauty of Salesforce Lightning lies in it’s visually appealing UI which displays the data pictorially rather than showing it textually / numerically. It is quite sales – friendly with ample features to track and improvise sales performance. To begin with, the first and the best feature – rich navigation menu that you can see soon after logging in to the lightning version is the ‘Home’ menu.

Home Page

This Home page helps you track your sales performance and it also depicts how close you are towards achieving your goals with the aid of ‘Performance Chart’. You can easily track your quarterly performance with the help of graphical representation of data. In addition to this, Home page also shows your upcoming meetings and 5 to-do tasks for that particular day. To keep you updated on what move your competitor, customer or partner is taking, this intelligent home page offers a separate ‘News’ segment. Not to forget the Assistant feature that we talked about before is a feature of this page.

You can easily view your top deals at the bottom of this page. Home page is absolutely customizable and with the help of a Salesforce admin we can have custom homepage for ourselves.

Opportunities

The next very important navigation menu is the ‘Opportunities’ menu which is also known as Opportunity Workspace. Here in this, you can not only add the details associated with a new opportunity but, you can also quickly go through all the important information w.r.t the existing opportunities. To understand this clearly, let us take a look at some of it’s features

  • Highlights Panel – You can find this at the top of the Opportunities page. In this section you can check the customer / account name, their region , the current status or the progress through the sales process
  • Path – With Path, we can track the steps that we took to identify a lead as an opportunity. It also gives customized guidance at every stage in the sales process
  • Composer – There is a ‘+’ symbol on the top right corner of Opportunities page and it is solely meant for guiding users to perform global actions. Using this feature which is also called as activity composer , we can send an email, create an important task or even we can log a call
  • Activity Timeline – You can make use of this particular feature to set up an event or meeting, add new tasks and view past / recent activity
  • Quick View –This is a user - friendly feature which allows us to see the details of any linked record just by hovering over it. Which means we don’t have to leave the existing page in order to check the data related to the linked records

After Opportunities, we shall navigate to ‘Accounts’ as well as ‘Contacts’ menu and see what are their unique features

Accounts and Contacts

As soon as a lead is converted, an account and a contact gets created. We all know that lead conversion is not an end but it is just the beginning. Customer retention becomes the next vital task and that is when we come up with customer engagement plans. To help us in engaging our customers we have the News and Twitter Integration feature. This feature helps us to stay connected with our customers through social media. Along with this, it also keeps us informed on the latest news that affects our customers
